Dr. Mark practices all phases of general dentistry with a specialization in oral surgery. In 1993, he graduated in the top ten percent of his class from Temple University School of Dentistry. Known affectionately as “Temple Dental,” his alma mater is the second-oldest continuously operating dental school in America. As a student there, Mark was taught by some of the most accomplished dental surgeons in the field. He routinely takes 30-40 credit hours of continuing education annually. This assures his patients of receiving the very best care modern dentistry has to offer. Mark served his residency at Philadelphia’s Albert Einstein Medical Center, one of the country’s oldest hospital-based dental residency programs. In this highly regarded program, Dr. Mark was exposed to a more integrated view of dentistry. This approach views dental processes as a part of — rather than apart from — the rest of the functions of our bodies. Such a viewpoint helps Dr. Mark in diagnosing health issues that may be related to other non-dental problems. He carries on the tradition by teaching part time at Einstein.
Patti has been with Dr. Weglos since 2006, and has worked in the dental field since 1982 after completing a Dental Assistant program at Bucks County Technical College. Her experience as an assistant to the doctor helped lead her path to an administrative career, furthering her knowledge of dental insurance coding and patient treatment planning. She’s the one who keeps us on schedule and helps you with scheduling, insurance, payment and any other questions you may have. On her days off, Patti enjoys visiting her grown children and babysitting her granddaughter in Lancaster.
Amanda has been a dental assistant since 2007, and has worked with Dr. Weglos since 2009. She graduated from Montgomery County Community College in 2008 and her dental radiology certification through Manor College in 2011. Amanda is very knowledgeable about the dental field, multi-tasking as an assistant in the treatment rooms and in the front office, assisting Patti with scheduling appointments, expediting insurance claims, and planning patient treatment. When she’s not at the office, you can most likely find her hanging out with her boxer dog, Homer.
Marianne has been a dental assistant for over 35 years. She has been with Dr. Weglos since he opened his practice in 1996. She loves helping people improve their smiles. Marianne is extremely passionate about her work, and feels it is not just a job, but her life’s purpose. She believes changing people’s smiles can truly change their lives. Marianne loves traveling with her husband Jim and her four poodle/cock-a-poos: Sadie, Murphy, Bailey and Rudy.
Maura is the newest face here at our office. She received her dental assistant training at Manor College through an ADA-accredited course, and plans to continue her education in the dental field through Manor’s EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) night courses. Maura enjoys spending time off with her family and friends.
Trish attended the Community College of Philadelphia and completed its Dental Hygiene Program. She has been a dental hygienist for over 22 years, and part of the Weglos Dental family since 2001. Trish loves working with children and has 9 years experience in a pediatric dental office. When Trish is not working, she dedicates time to her family, friends and dogs. Trish and her husband, Mick, volunteer with dog rescue work and fostering dogs in need until they are placed in a forever home.
